Pasta all'arrabbiata is a classic Italian dish known for its spicy tomato sauce. Well here's a version with Fijian heat kick!
What you need
🌶️ 225g pasta
🌶️ Fiji Fire Original Hot Sauce
-
Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining and set aside.
-
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and three table spoons of Fiji Fire to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
-
Add the diced tomatoes to the skillet along with dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
-
Once the sauce has thickened, add the cooked pasta to the skillet along with a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
-
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If you like, add some freshly chopped basil leaves for extra flavor.
-
Serve the pasta all'arrabbiata hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Enjoy your spicy Fiji Fire flavorful pasta all'arrabbiata!
